Being a scavenger and trash-picker, I've thought there could be place at Lockn--and I suppose other fests--where people can leave serviceable camping gear, and perhaps food and bev, for a local charity that could either sell for fund-raising or provide to shelters, homeless, etc. Or a local charity would be designated to scour the grounds and collect the goods.
In a place like Nelson County with all the outdoor activity I'd think there would be a market for the stuff. If something like that were in place I'd forgo my own scalvage efforts.
