First time at Lockn GA RV camping

Hello and welcome! My Festie Bestie also lives in his camper due to work, so he carries his life with him. He explained to the searcher, and they were very accommodating. They we NOT going to get my jar of pickles in any case... But seriously, if you have excess bottles of booze, I would stash that somewhere. Depending on who does the search, it could go either way, so why chance it? As far as your dog goes, if it is a service animal, bring your documentation. They are very firm on that. Transportation? Do you have bicycles? Otherwise there are pedal cabs for a nominal fee. Wait til the map comes out to see where everything is. Every year it's been different thus far. Hope this helps!

Thank you everyone for sharing your experiences and advice. Thinking about it some more I realize that who ever want to search the 5th wheel when we arrive won't be able too since the slides will be pulled in and you can't even get into the living room kitchen area it's just too tight. So they would have to ask us to open up the slides to do it. I doubt they'll do that in the line. Feeling better about the camping situation thank you.

So about the stages. We have GA will we be able to see the stages or get anywhere close? Wondering if we made a mistake by not getting the VIP tickets. Just finished out jazz fest in Nola and it was insane. So big and so many people we couldn't see anything unless we arrived 2-3 hrs early and waited around all day and wore diapers so we didn't have to leave our spot to use the bathroom! Ha!!! We didn't go that far but you get the idea. Not used to that many people. How big is Lockn?

GA ticketholder two previous years and could always see even if it was on the big screens which in some ways was easier for me since my eyes don't pick up the details otherwise. My first year (2014) I pretty much set up my chair toward the back. That way I usually had some clear space around my chair and had room to dance without stepping on anyone. Last year I spent more time weaving through the crowd. Enjoyed both scenarios. As far as attendance numbers, I've never seen an official count, but have heard estimates by other attendees of ~25-30,000 or so.

Well without VIP tickets you miss out on the best perk of all...free shoulder rides 24/7. Really saves the wear and tear on our feet...
