This is in no way to drum up sympathy or anything like that that manner. This is not to bring anyone down or feel bad. I hope more just for info where I'm at,& what someone close to you is going thru. Actually you all have been supportive & encouraging.
This is my second time for cancer so it's auto stage 4 colon/rectal cancer that left me with a ostomy. Now the same type of cancer is all thru my lungs & I also have bone cancer.
I went thru my first chemo treatment no problem. Second time sent me to ICU for a few days. They put me on different chemo & 3rd treatment my blood count went way down, so 2 weeks without treatment. Now I've had 6 treatments in a row they will now do a scan to see where I'm at. They are giving the big scan, Pet scan. I have a lot of hope for this. At my last treatment the Dr came in with my blood work & said they look really really good. I looked up at her & she was looking right in my eyes saying again these are really good & gave me a copy of them. Then she listened to my lungs & spent extra time on 3 spots & said the lungs sound real good with a look of confusion on her face. I was in some pain & a little sick & asked me if I wanted to skip chemo that day, but I said no I want my treatment because I want to get that scan & see where I'm at & she said that she is real interested also.
So I know some of you know I've been doing alternative treatment. Many trips to MI. Found out the shop they have been going to is pulling for me & has been giving 3 extra grams each time, & it ain't cheep. That's where planing things a long time ago we have no money problems. Invested plans & good insurance has been good to us.
But mainly just be supportive of anyone you know has cancer. If we stop by a trash can to puke don't get to concerned it becomes normal to us, well kind of. Watch the way the walk or their eyes look, they are probably in more pain that the'll yet you know. Just suggest to stop & have a drink & sit for a few mins.
I'm excited about the scan & will let know how it comes out.
