WayCha, me & my cancer

Had a great day today. Maybe we are getting this pain regulated. Got out & got a oil change, getting ready for that 10 hour drive. Did some clothes shopping. Treatment dropped from a 36" waist to 32". Way too much. So if I gain that all back it will be Money for Nothing.

Well now that chemo is over I start the next phase of my treatment. Went in Friday to see the Radiation Oncology Therapist about the pain from the tumor on my hip down near the spine. Now this is where I really love doctors. The radiation, or Dr R, was confused as to why we didn't start with radiation. Dr C, chemo, got all the scans done & knew I had a big mass there but decided to do chemo on the lungs first. So Dr R questioned me how I got to this point like I had called the shots. After I explained how I got to where I was he understood that DR C is a idiot, not his words but. So the tumor has been eating at my bone for a while so now they will give me the radiation to shrink the tumor so it isn't causing me as much pain. But they can't do anything for the bone that's been eaten away so I'll always have some pain. We start after I get back from Lockn'. Should have seen the look on his face when I said I was going on a camping trip. He said really? You think you can really do that? Have you thought this though? Same thing when I said something about working. Even after I told him I work a desk job he was all surprised. I mean how bad do you think I am. Well the hell with them, I know what I can do & I'm all in!! See ya at Lockn'!!!
