Remember when ZZ TOP toured with the Zombies? No, neither do I, because it never happened.
Apparently 2/3rds of ZZ Top actually toured AS the Zombies for a few months. Ran across this interesting article this week:

Interesing for the insights it gave into the music business of the late 60s. I think most of us knew there were a lot of con men among the producers and it was a pretty rough and tumble world, but I found the particulars detailed here really interesting.
The ZZ Top members seem a bit embarrassed about the whole episode. That's probably the correct stance, but I think they should embrace the whole thing and add Time of the Season into their setlist...
