They've got a pretty cool plan in place - basically about 20 minutes after the main stage wraps up each night, someone will be surprising us on the triangle stage.

I heard someone say Neil played at Pegi's latenight set ... but I was there for the first 30 minutes or so and I didn't see him. Can anyone confirm or deny?

We caught the last 20 min or so and no Mr Young a few people were chanting at her bus for him to come out

The late night stage will be all things terrapin tomorrow night. Phil? We will see. Jorma was good probably 300 folks there.

Not sure on the all things terrapin as there are 2 more announced bands to play late night. One night is going to be Jeff Sipe Trio and the other Indecision.

How about the Terp family band was announced at the stage and they mentioned Phil as well as Jeff sipe and "some if his aru buddies" tonight so maybe Col will show up. Indecision played after jorma last night, not sure if they are listed tonight or not. I think they had 2 bands last night.

I was camped in the very front of GA RV and it was so far away from the Tri stage, so we never went thinking it would be all hyped like a Bonnaroo late night and we just didnt have the energy for all that. Now that I see this, I realize I have made a dear grave mistake. So jealous.

Yeah, I've gotta say that they could have done a better job with this.
Latenight sets on a stage in the middle of the campgrounds? Awesome idea!
However, the placement of the stage, combined with the fact that they didn't announce any of this in advance, led to shows being under-attended. If you weren't in Car Camping 2, there was a good chance you didn't even know these sets were going on. Those in tent only (supposedly the preferred camping option) would have a 20+ minute walk past their tent just to get to the stage, assuming they even knew the set was going on.
Some days they sent out tweets right before the sets started, but they weren't consistent. While I love the "surprise" element, it led to a lot of people missing out.
So, great idea that needed slightly better execution.
Side note: Isn't it funny how rumors can travel at a festival? On Friday morning I heard a number of different people claim that Neil sat-in with Pegi for part of her Triangle set. By Friday afternoon I heard one guy say, "Yeah, you missed out. Neil Young played a surprise two-hour set in the campgrounds, it was awesome."

I also heard people were yelling "Neil Neil" at Peggy's tour bus thinking he was inside. I never made it to the Triangle Stage but to be honest I was pretty tired by the time the main stage finished. I did make a trek over to "The Tree" on day 4 before TTB. I didn't realize it was also a small cemetery.

Indecision was great on Friday. My camp neighbors were fans of them from the 80s and I was pleasantly surprised.
The highlight of the late night sets for me was arriving late to the Terrapin Family set with Phil sitting in and ending up just a few rows of folks from the stage for phil to sing ripple to us. Pretty awesome.
