Tear Drop Campers

We started in tents. That lasted 12/15 years. We then moved to a pop-up. Loved it. I absolutely had to have something bigger. Swapped to a 30' tag-along. Hated it. Too big, more difficult to pull, more difficult to park, store, set up, tear down. Got rid of it and went back to tents. L1's heat while tent camping put us back in the market for a small camper. Thought we'd be back in a pop-up but found the teardrops to be perfect. Ours is store-bought and pretty big as teardrops go. Footprint is about 6' x 13.5'. I can stand up straight at the entrance but it slopes quickly in both directions. Floor plan works well with the slopes.

The T@G is really nice sue. I haven't seen one in person yet but the video looks awesome. Not a big fan of the straight Little Guys, Silver Shadows or the T@Bs either. Little Guys were too plain and most of them are miniature. Silver Shadows are too short. It's hard to sit up in them. The T@Bs really underutilized the rear galley with the rounded up bottom in the back. But this T@G looks like it combines all the best of them into a really ideal package.

Thanks a lot, you guys. Now Sue's got in her head that we have to have one of these contraptions. While I certainly lust after air conditioning, I don't think it's a good time to take on another payment right now. Especially when she plans to pay for it with LESS BEER. That's just crazy talk.

Seriously, isn't sleeping in a cool looking, temp /humidity controlled space with a real mattress and some privacy worth a few less beers? 

Reminds me of that old joke where the guy's wife says, "We're drowning in debt! We have to cut your beer budget!"

"Well, you spend an awful lot on makeup! Couldn't we cut out some of that?"

"I thought that's what the beer was for!"
