Today is 20 years to the day since I ate at McDonald's or any other fast food burger joint (no Hardees, no Burger King, etc.). For a short while I continued to eat at Chick-fil-A or other non-burger joints.

Great job! How does it feel? Today is the start of my fourth week eating low carb, mainly "whole" foods and cooking every meal. I've always eaten healthy but decided to kick all the crap. I feel amazing and am down 10 lbs. Today is 20 years to the day since I ate at McDonald's or any other fast food burger joint (no Hardees, no Burger King, etc.). I did eat at BWWs last weekend, as I was craving wings and their traditional hot wings are low carb/sugar (as is their ranch) and I was too lazy to cook. I will say I do miss Chipotle/Qdoba and my local Mexican joint.
My husband can't kick the fast food though, his parents worked a lot so he grew up on fast food and frozen dinners. Found a McDonalds breakfast bag in the trash yesterday. If he has to spend more than five minutes making something, he can't handle it. He's lucky his wife is such an amazing cook!

I quit because I got food poisoning. I don't even know if it was from the McDonald's, but that was the last place I ate prior to getting ill. It felt awful. I was on a job interview. In Georgia. In August. I remember them driving me around the town and sitting in the back seat w/ my eyes rolling back in my head because I already knew I was getting sick...

For a long time after that I had a pavlovian response to the burger/grease smell. Everything, couldn't even have a cup of coffee from there as somehow the grease even got on the cups. Many years later I'm sure I could force myself to eat it if I wanted to, but why would I bother...
I shake my head at the lines at the McDonalds.
No more fast food posts. I don't want to get kicked out of the off-topic thread again for being off-topic.

I like that I eat at fast food so infrequently that I don't really know what is on the menu. I have to study it when I do go in and not just get my usual because I don't have a usual. I do however, like run on sentences for lunch or really any time of the day or night for that matter.

I tried this over the weekend and it worked for me, too. I noticed three nicks on the edge of the bedroom door . Based on a recommendation, I used a walnut to fix it. Before and after:
