I carry a large cooler full of beer from my homeland for Lockn, and as with any trip, aim to bring a full one back with local beer from the travels.
In the past I have been in a hurry to get away from the Lockn' hustle and bustle on Monday, and have waited to make a big beer buying stop until Total Wine in McLean or Arlington, maybe 3 hours north. Total Wine does a fine job of showing what is brought into areas by the big distributors (lots of West Coast stuff that does not hit New England especially), but wondering if anyone has a rec on a store that might have even more local and regional stuff to hit going North? Not keen on trying to squeeze into Charlottesville, but would if we must.
