Just stay in your lines, for your neighbors' sake. One year my parking guide was concerned only about encroaching into the road/path, for fire reasons. Otherwise no enforcement/monitoring (which is a potential problem if someone nearby is being "that guy.")

You may end up with a sleeping tent under all/part of your canopy, which is a good way to go, since you usually don't use them both at the same time. I also put my tailgate under one end of the canopy and incorporate it (note: that worked one year and the next they changes the dimensions, but not the size, of the space).

Do they regulate how you park within your site?

Example- tailpipes facing walkway.

The priority is to try to get you in there fast, though, so some attendants are less patient than others if you are trying to parallel park...

I'm not too concerned with anyone rushing me along if we want to take an extra 60 seconds to parallel park. I can get sassy if I need to. I'm a mom.

That's a relief. Earlier this summer we all had to be identically parked, tailpipes out. Couldn't use the back hatch of our car as a prep area like we planned; major bummer. Thanks!

no but that's an interesting rule, and could save someone from CO poisoning. But like you, I use my tailgate.

And I may be able to control my own tailpipe, but would not want to be exposed to a neighbor's tailpipe

But Lockn' is pretty much wide open once you get in, no one is around to enforce much of anything and the "staff" tend to sit around in a non-confrontational mood as if they had mellowing agents applied....

My husband likes to do a once a day turn on of the car so the battery doesn't die. He's very old school.

At L2 we had a hung over college kid next to us sleeping underneath the rear bumper to get out of the sun. His face was right up next to the tailpipe and we kept wondering what would happen when someone turned the car on. I think we should have been concerned, but mostly we just laughed.

Also, there is usually enough room to maneuver your car around once everyone is parked. You could pull out and back in using the emergency exit lane they leave. We have a huge 5-8 man tent and a canopy that doesn't overlap and back in to use the tailgate.
