first timer, hitch hiking to lockn! help?

I haven't seen any real hitch hikers in Virginia in years (I used to be one) but I wouldn't think it would be too hard for a specific event if you have a sign.

But in year's past there was a lot of traffic here about ride sharing, even long haul, and it seemed like people had good luck making arrangements--maybe a more specific subject line?

Also VIP's can't enter if a non-VIP person is in the car; they turn the whole car back. Which ironically means we can't bring our own bearers, the ones with soft rounded shoulders we'd prefer. So if you are close to the venue, you may get passed by otherwise willing drivers.
