I agree with many that have posted the view that the only thing certain about the weather forecast is that it will be wrong. However, this mornings extended forecast is fairly dramatic. Likely won't pan-out this way, but may help folks prep their kits ...
11 - 15 day forecast - using terms like; extreme heat, dangerous heat, a super heat event, drought exacerbates heat event. Interesting that we're still in drought. Two weeks ago we had 8 inches of rain across a Fri, Sat, Sun stretch. We've had several intense rains but few soaking rains.
16 - 20 day forecast - Hot, above normal.
This weekends forecast adjusted up slightly; Fri @ 96, both Sat & Sun @ 97 with heat index between 105 - 110.
We'll be packing: water, shade, water, sunscreen, water, hat, water, raincoat, water and maybe some Gatorade for good measure. Water.
