Get your car batteries tested if there's ANY doubt however slight. Make sure tags are up to date, headlights work, so on and so on. If you have to announce to the world you are going to Lockn by advertising it on your vehicle, be safe and courteous. Weather looks like it's going to be beautiful (knock on wood) but given last year's surprise micro-burst, if you have the space bring traction in case of mud pits.
Keep your coolers in your car if you can, as opposed to the trunk.
On getting there: I personally feel it will be MUCH better than last year with early arrivals, late set starts, and not everyone arriving at the same time, so there is no need to rush, or otherwise display acts of asshatness on the road. Enjoy the sights, it's a beautiful part of Virginia....enjoy your fellow travellers...enjoy the journey and not just the destination.
As for the PoPo, they are just there to direct traffic and HELP us get in smoothly. Don't give them a reason to look twice at you.
And if you have to party on the way to the party, might I recommend some counseling? Let's all be safe and start the positive vibes the right way.
