So I swear I saw somewhere that there would be Golf cart taxis to give rides to places around the venue for a fee. I was telling the wife about it and now I can't find it. She thinks it's a VIP/SVIP things. Anybody know the deal?

I was GA and if I remember correctly it was $5 per person. It was the best way to get from the show field to the woods in time to see the late night show there.

Svip gets golf cart service.
There has been a golf cart service for fee previously but I have not seen anything that says they have it this year.
I took it L1 and it took so long that my friends who walked beat us back.

They are available to everybody, just dont plan on getting one at busy times. My recomendation is bring a bike if you are able.

I wouldn't say much about the service we get in SVIP. I see them around until I'm heading somewhere & they are out of sight. They don't have any kind of organization that I can find. So I have not had a cart ride either. This year I'm going to pin one down & try to find out what the deal is. feels like there is one golf cart per thousand people. have never managed to catch one

There is a bike taxi service and a golf cart taxi service. (Or there was last year).
The bike taxi takes you from the exit of the main festival stage field to the area marked as "Shakedown Street" -- meaning that it only runs on the "track" part of the festival grounds.
The golf cart taxi service queues up at the bottom of the Shakedown area/top of the Blue Ridge Bowl. They will take you too the closest point along the main road to your campsite. They will not pull off the gravel roads to take you up to your campsite, the closest you will get in your fire-lane.
Both will be tough to find at peak hours, meaning don't expect to walk out after Phish on Friday night and have taxis waiting to take you all the way to CATS. I have only once taken a golf cart taxi, I took it when I left Robert Plant on Sunday last year early, when I was feeling sick.
Both will cost you money.
I don't know what they offer VIPs/SVIPs

I was offered a free ride in a golf cart last year...... She didn't ask for money but was more than willing to take a toke for a tip...... Just gotta know how to talk to these people.
