Thanks smosey wales! I haven't said anything yet because, well, I couldn't actually locate your gift since we got home. With a camp of 30+ things get...shuffled. Beer has been located in good responsible hands. It is in possession of the person I would be drinking it with anyways. It was a pleasure meeting your peeps and I really do appreciate the gift. Even if I can't remember what it is in that not glass but fused silica container. Look forward to trying it.
I apologize but I don't remember who gave me the Bissell Brothers the Substance. At that point my world was becoming an incredibly pleasant boozy swirl. Yum. Described as a "Brightly Dank Ale". Hells yeah! Never had anything from them before. Awesome looking molecule can. Would love to drink some Swish and when it cools off some the Angles With Filthy Souls Porter. Best Name Ever. They are out of Portland, ME so I am guessing @lobsterso. Because Maine and lobster maybe. I suck.
Also thanks for the 2 Sixpoints. Never had anything from them before either. I drank the Sweet Action. Looked it up and it was as I semi remembered classified as undefinable. Untappd calls it a cream ale but I don't know how accurate that is. Out of Brooklyn so that was probably... I don't know and it is making my head hurt trying to figure it out. Please tell me. I would love to try the Bengali or Resin or some of the Mad Scientist stuff. Really tasty. I didn't get to drink the second one, was it a Bengali? I seem to remember an orange can. But someone took it away from me, I had like 4 drinks in my hands at the time, and replaced it with...
A Pipeworks Ninja vs Unicorn. At this point there was the breakfast beer, Bloody Mary, walking beer, Wisco Old Fashioned, Substance, Sweet Action and possibly something else and it is only 1:00 at the latest. Memory lapses ensue. Again please tell me who gave me this delightful little 8% DIPA out of Chicago. Outstanding brewery. I've had the Lizard King, Lil Citra, Raspberry Truffle Abduction and Fairy Basslet. We saved that and my hopheadio buddy Hoey and I split it after unloading and stowing all the gear out of the RV when we got home.
I apologize for not bringing any to exchange. Not sure why but it got away from me. I promise to do better next year if these breweries around here up their canning game. And next year I am taking notes. Yeah, right.
Thanks again to all who participated in an epic Friday day drinking experience and beyond. I had to go lay down.
