Cool, wet and refreshing

As discussed previously security is all about mis-direction. I always have a backpack with lots of pockets that are unzipped that I foist upon them and basically start managing the search for them. I systematically draw their attention to each pocket. If i can manage, i try to also have my wallet/phone in hand to show them to prove i have cleaned out my pockets. Get close to them and invade their personal space in an overly friendly/cooperative manner, say 'alright, thanks!' when you want to end it and walk off. I find you can actually have a beer or two in the backpack and several elsewhere consistently. All security's a stage, and all the men and women merely players.

Definitely good tips and it is for sure all about misdirection. I have a buddy that sometimes throws something like a Bud Light in the top part of his backpack to purposefully sacrifice so when they first unzip it they see it and take it, but will often think that's all he has and he'll have heady beers stashed elsewhere that make it through.

What was with them resurrecting pat-downs on Sunday? I'm pretty sure being touched when you don't want to is grounds for a sexual harassment charge.

Depends on who's doing the touching

Seems that especially with the ABC incidents at L1 they have to be able to show that they did, in fact, try to control things. Maybe an ABC guy was nearby when they did that. Also, the promoters want to sell beer, and the vendors want to sell beer (perhaps they complained?), so there's an interest in controlling supply.

Or point a gun at them. Studies show that eye witness accounts are abysmal in general.
