Since its inception in 2005, Mountain Jam has been held at the end of May/early June. However for 2017, we have decided to move the date to June 16-18, 2017 in an effort to prevent weather cancellations or delays and increase our chances of sunny days and clear mountain nights.

Michael Franti often says that you get to experience ALL four seasons at Mountain Jam, however after 12 Mountain Jam festivals we decided it was finally time to push the date ahead, focusing on two ideal seasons Spring and Summer!

We are committed to improving the festival each year. Stay tuned for more details regarding on-sale information, early Thursday admission to the campgrounds as well as a pre-party with music performances on the Indoor Stage, and an incredible lineup for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Have not been to this festival but this is an odd statement. How does pushing it ahead a mere two weeks decrease weather cancellations/delays? And by pushing it two weeks, you have eliminated the fall/winter aspect? Maybe there are some crazy weather swings in late May in that area.

This. In the northeast late May can mean shorts and t-shirts or it can mean long johns. June is much more predictable.

This festival has had some epic rain over the years. Good call to try to inch into summer.

Dates aren't the only thing changing.

People who thought Lockn' took a U-turn...I thought this festival really changed their booking the last few years. 2013 was epic, as were many other years before that. They threw Pretty Lights in 2014, Keys & Shakes in 2015, and Beck/Train/Thievery with lots of rock-focused undercards this year. Components of Avett and Wilco are there every year, so that is not a change.

Example of another historically jam festival mixing things up a bit.

I heard that they were going to rename all of the months to be named after their studio albums. Since Phish now has 13 studio albums there will be 13 months from here out. All of the days of the months will be named after Phish songs. I don't know how many different songs there are but that is how days will be in a year from now on.

13 months x 4 wks = 52 wks

28 days x 13 = 364

makes sense to me, don't know why they didn't do it sooner
