My good friend was kidnapped in Niger today. The kidnappers killed his guards. No official blame for anyone yet or claimed responsibility. He is one of the most high caliber men I have ever known. He has two children and a wife who are here and hurting and frightened.

Damn, that is really fucked up. Feel so bad for his wife and kids. I have friends that do similar work in Africa. I hope there is good news soon.

Damn. My cousin and her husband and their teenage son live in Uganda working for WHO. It's a scary place sometimes, but so are our own streets, just in different ways. Hoping for a safe and quick resolution for your friend and his family. xo
