Thank you for attending Lockn' Festival last year, you took a chance on us and we're grateful! I'm writing to let you know that we're launching Lockn' II in 2014. As a 2013 Lockn' Festival ticket buyer you're a Lockn' 'Lumni member and can buy tickets while they last for $199 each; the regular price is $249. These tickets will go on sale in a week, and like last year we'll be announcing the bands as we book them.

After a few months of extensive after-action-review, we intend to improve and tweak several things. However, we're not changing the things that worked. We've read all of your comments/responses, and for 2014 we will again feature fewer bands performing multiple nights one at a time, unique artist collaborations, good food, good drink, and good vibes. Peter and I will do our very best to book and present a show we'd like to see and attend. Hope to see you out in the crowd.

I will be there again, no matter what!!! but really jumping the price from $20 to $89 for car camping is a little over the top.
I know they lost a pile of money, but to punish the festival folks, just doesnt seem right.

i got a new rockin job since last year and ive actually been making some real bread. but you know what? i think i'd rather just get a reg camping pass and chill with the everyday folks. i'm only 30 so i'm still young. i feel like roughing it and making the long hike is part of the fun. i'll see ya'll in regular ol' car camping. if you see a giant smiley flag, come on by and say hi. plus this frees up funds to hit up roo and waka this year. woot!

Got my tickets as well this morning. I understand saving the cash, but I have some back issues and the VIP camping made the show great. with the increased cost of camping, no SVIP for me this year. I'll look for the smile flag.

Hello Lockn' Forum people! Can't wait for next year, got my lumni ticket yesterday, I'm going preferred tent only this year. Did car camping 1 last year, the walk back was killer, but the walk to the stage never seemed that bad.

The walk was sort of a bitch. That giant hill was the real killer. I went by myself last year, so I just started talking to random people on the way in and out. It made the walk seem much shorter and I had some interesting conversations.

We clocked 4 mile round trip from our car to the stage. I am doing the hotel thing, unless there is a Dead reunion and they guarantee free shuttles. The camping hike has to be justified. Not all car camping spots were equal, some people got great spots, some people were on the bottom of hill on a nasty grade, if it rained there would have been mud slides....roll the dice
