thanks for the sidexside. Generally, it looks like the whole set up is more compact, and shifted south and west. Nothing north of
the state road (Oak Ridge Road) which makes sense, and the car camping to the east is now on the south side.
Forest camping is way to the east.
Does this mean that the VIP inside the track is camping? Car camping? Looks like they are going to have to have lots of fences, both
limit access to VIP and to search folks going to the "show field" (aka chug-point charlie--love it!)
Since Oak Ridge Road is a state road, can you come in from the east on it? Or is all car traffic routed back out to 29 and back in one gate?
Multiple entrances?
I know, lots of questions and I expect the info to trickle out.

Looked at the new map. I bought the SVIP so I could camp where I was last year. Now I am nowhere. I guess they forgot about us. I emailed and have not heard. Posted the question on Facebook a few hours ago. No response from Lockn, but they have been responding to many others over the last few hours. Maybe we can just camp down with the bands. Now that would make the 2400.00 more I paid worth it.

Thanks for the side by side, but the older map is not last years, that was the initial map up for this year. They moved tent only back to where it was last year on the new map. And looks like forest camping was moved farther away. With car camping getting a much nicer spot. Stages have moved to the opposite end of the field too. Looks like everything is south of Oak Ridge Road now.

I bought my preferred tent only based on last years map. I feel a little ripped off, now that regular tent camping is right beside us instead of RV row. They should just make the whole area tent only. I don't see why preferred is $199, and tent only is $69. Where is the $130 worth for just a few feet closer instead of the mile closer I was paying for?

I feel pretty much the same way. I bought preferred so I didn't have to lug my stuff so far and also so that I could quickly get back and forth from the site to the venue for food/drinks. Not much difference for that premium now. I bought my preferred tent only based on last years map. I feel a little ripped off, now that regular tent camping is right beside us instead of RV row. They should just make the whole area tent only. I don't see why preferred is $199, and tent only is $69. Maybe if we complain enough they will give us free showers.

Coould be that the relocation was closer to surfaced roads and access to ground transportation. The RV's have a road, too, which makes
sense (granted, to my uninformed opinion). Point is, often the plans or changes seem illogical but there are unknown logistics that
explain them, or even make them better in the long run. There are a lot of moving parts.

SVIP is left on the pic right next to the track in the blue area. It is marked Super VIP with a line to it,Looked at the new map. I bought the SVIP so I could camp where I was last year. skimming all the activity on this thread, i feel like i'm the only one jumping out of my skin with excitement. maybe it's because i'm the only one in ga car camping, lol. but this is insanely good news as far as i can tell! muuuuuuuuuch closer (at least for me), more entrances to alleviate traffic, and they friggin bought the place. you know they are doing their damndest to keep this festival going for years to come. i'm more excited about this announcement than i am for any of the lineup announcements, to be honest

Yea that sucks where the show it. And the area they had it in before has nothing there. I wonder if they are expecting more ADA than they made room for? I hope they have cart service for you.I saved it as a PDF on my computer then was able to adjust.

Looking at Worfrat's side by side the day parking area is a lot larger. I hope that means more check in posts. And with car camping not far it looks like they could move people in faster. I also like to explore around although I don't get around as good as I used to so this will be nice since the tree was the half way point & now is the outside area.

I guess I should have read what I wrote. I don't see SVIP RV. When I upgraded, I was told it would be in close. Based on this map, Not sure where the SVIP RV area will be.

Including newly acquired fields with entrances on Diggs Mountain Road is a game-changer for the Traffic Plan as the new road frontage will allow better site access and alleviate potential traffic congestion.
