This being the being the week of Thanksgiving I wanted to take a minute before the holiday and say Thank You! Thank you for keeping this place alive during the off season. Thank you to Dylan and Sneake for giving us this space. Thank you for your humor. Thank you for sharing your musical experiences. Thank you for sharing your advice. Thank you for keeping this place free of political discussion so we can come here when we want to get away from it all. Thank you!

If you are traveling this week I wish you safe travels. I hope that you get to spend the holiday with family and friends. I hope that you can take some time off for yourself to relax and breathe. I hope that you get to see some great music over the holiday. Some of you I will see at Xmas jam, the rest I look forward to seeing soon.

I wish you a relaxing and joyful holiday as well! I am so grateful to all of you for your continued friendship, and of course for welcoming myself (and Nick) into your Lockn' Forum family. It's a nice community knit out of love for music and an amazing Festival, and I still cannot believe it is possible that we have a bully and (mainly) snark free zone. It's pretty neat. My only wish is that I could guarantee our attendance every year, and that we lived on the east coast so I could attend more events with y'all.

My sister is hosting this year and I am bringing champagne (we love sipping on mimosas all day), my "famous" brussel sprouts made with bacon and shallots, a wild rice, portabella, and cranberry "stuffing" I saw on Pinterest. I get to spend the day laughing with my siblings (we are all incredibly close and blessed to live in the same town), yelling at my teenagers to put their phones away, cuddling and smooching my nephews and niece, and missing my daddy (whose grumpy affect and alcoholism makes it impossible for my mother to enjoy her Holiday, and since she raised us, she gets dibs).

I don't have to go to my in-law's because my niece and her husband are hosting on Friday, and I feed the Corporate Machine on Black Friday. My daughter and niece look forward to waking early and going with me. That's the day I stock up on $19.99 boots, $1.99 packs of batteries, 99 cent blankets for the dog's kennel, $2.99 candles, and other assorted cheap finds. I'm planning on buying an Apple TV as my splurge.
