Infinity Downs Farm - Announcements Coming Today!

Still no word on wineries. I am not comparing to other concerts, I am comparing to other wine festivals.

I think 50 is a lot for one night car camping. We would just drive in and home anyway.

Nice to see so many events at the farm. That adds to the feasibility of infrastructure.

I wonder (hope) they have beer at the wine festival? Too bad they can't bring in the two Nelson County distilleries.

I suspect they have to do a few thorough searches, and grab a little contraband, so they can show "the man" that they are enforcing things. You unfortunately were the scape goat.

I also suspect the sniffing dogs were in training, perhaps explosive dogs, and what a great place to test them for that given the amount of other sniffables passing by. I did not hear of any arrests from the sniffing dogs.

Or you may have encountered thirsty searchers. That was a standard occurrence when I was travelling the third world, and usually brought in duty-free goods to help finance my travels. Sometimes a little duty was assessed.

I mean, there is only so much stuff two people want to pack in the car.  she opened the cooler, looked under seats, etc. was by far the most annoying searcher i've had in any lockn year.  She even told me to empty my pockets...

- also i still made it in with much more booze than is technically allowed.  She just didn't realize 1 case is essentially 1 morning / evening / late night session when accounting for spillage and give away quotas.  Also, for those lockn searches reading this, you should understand that confiscating some of my beer only forces me to drink more liquor out on the farm and therefore become more inebriated and not more sober.  Just some food for thought. 

The fire marshals "no external generators" rule in RV camping is one I have never seen at a festival before.  I'm gonna pass on RV camping.

So what they should do is this, go ahead and make an announcement AND THEN the next day post "Big Announcement Coming Yesterday!" It would restore at least some of their credibility.

According to string theory, there is an alternate universe where they actually made the announcement, so there is that.

Now you're straining the limits of my credulity. An alternate universe I buy. An alternate universe where Lockn' announcements are on time? I think not.

Announcement of lower camping prices for BRB events was made. I only saw a video on FB.

Definitely. Did you see the video where he said his wife told him the prices were too high? SO, they were reducing the rates due to his wife's comment and to celebrate International Women's Day? Whatever works.
