Ween

Glad to hear of your change of heart. They are a great band. You have to take the funny/stupid/offensive lyrics with a grain of salt and just laugh at it. Like Seriously, they have a song called Waving My Dick In the Wind. I mean, who doesn't get a chuckle out of that!

Having Seen Ween 25 Odd Times, I thought both Lockn Sets were very good. The headlining set wasn't "tailored" to the "non-ween" fan. However, it was a top notch Ween Show, which as music lovers we should want!

Post here about Pink Talking Phish. Ive heard good things. Can't think that combination would/can suck!

I didn't really like them at the fest, but it wasn't so bad that I would have talked negatively about them. Not really my thing, no worries people don't have to like all the same bands. But when that post came out with Dean criticizing Phish fans, their stage setup, etc. for no apparent reason, then it was time to fire back because what goes around comes around.  And it ensured that I wouldn't be giving them a second chance.  Maybe that's my loss, oh well.

That interview post was a giant troll to get some coverage publicity, that many (myself included- at first) fell for. He was just talking some ish, pounding his chest, after two fire shows that made him feel like they truly were "back". I honestly think that Phish was down for a Roses collab at Lockn' and Mickey shot them down. And I don't blame him. It's a song Phish made popular and many give them credit for, not Ween. I think he was feeling protective and selfish, especially coming off a hiatus and un-wanted breakup where he couldn't even get out of bed, he was so depressed and lost. 

Mickey (Dean) has a precocious shit-stirring side, but when it comes down to it he has the utmost respect for all musicians, Trey/Phish included. I don't think I've ever seen a musician more dedicated to his craft and his fans. If you feel like it, google some of his more recent interviews where he talks about the past year. 

I BEG OF YOU... Plead on my knees... Sit back this weekend with a few, and put on The Mollusk or White Pepper, and listen all the way through... 

You will come away at LEAST with some new found respect for them as musicians. 

I will even buy you the beer. 

I LOVE Pink Talking Fish.  I'm not a Phish fan, but I dig Pink Floyd and Talking Heads.  I've seen these guys at a few different small fests and they are just pure fun.  And great people.  Spent some quality time sitting around a campfire with most of the band.  They're really accessible.

Truth be told, I'd rather listen to Pink Talking Fish playing Phish tunes than Phish playing Phish tunes.
