Let's Talk Sit-Ins

I could see:
1. Member(s) of Umphrey's joining the late night Bisco set.
2. Marcus King with Mule
3. Blackberry Smoke with Mule - I caught the "Smokin' Mule" tour last summer, and a couple guys from BBS came out for Mule's encore and they jammed a great Cortez The Killer and Spanish Moon
4. Keller sitting in with Greensky
5. I don't know how likely it is, but I would love to see Phil stop by on his day off and jam with Panic.
6. High possibility of Phil and/or Bob joining JRAD

5 Just no. I don't see a single thing Phil could bring to a WSP set other than bad vocals. We are already getting 3 Phil sets which is 1 and possibly 2 more than I want.
6 Oh hell no. I want full force rage from JRAD. Not Bob trying to slow the whole thing down to a crawl. They probably shouldn't even be near the stage. Just the shear power of the music could break a hip.
I do hope that there are more sit ins than last year. That was kind of a dissapointment.
What happens if I take both?

2. Thoughts on who could be Mule's guest? I personally have no idea, Derek Trucks would be nice though
3. The Phil.moe set reads "Phil Lesh and friends w/ moe" so are we to believe it's Phil, Moe, and others?
4. Fogerty with widespread for old times sake would be fun
5. The fact that Phil has a day in between his two sets leaves him open for sit ins, although I think the more likely scenario is his annual serenade for the 1% in SVIP tent Saturday night (no shade meant to be thrown at those lucky enough to purchase svip)
6. Saturday is wide open for an addition or two, I still think a TTB tribute set with a big name
7. UM guitarists with the biscuits would be awesome, have we ever seen a sit in at a late night set tho?

The Dave thing is a joke, don't think you have to worry about that at this point.
...until next year at least.

1. Just like John Prine mentioned in another thread I think Avetts being Dylans backing band would be ok. (It's still Dylan so it could be anywhere from great to shit.) But I don't see them turning their set over to a second fiddle role to someone else. And Dylan isn't going to learn a sets worth of Avett songs. I think another guitar or horn or keys to elevate their jam is a lot more appealing.
2. Literally anyone could be Mules guest.
3. Yes it does. Who knows what that means. As long as we get a full moe. set like the schedule suggests I am eager to see what is does mean. (Just hope it isn't his kids and such.)
4. Seen that and it was kind of a miss. At least it was a lot less than what I was hoping for. From the lead up it sounded like Schools at least was pumped to jam some CCR. It ended up being more playing some CCR tunes with a guy who didn't really know who he was on stage with and called them "The Panics" although he did give Herring some props. This time I would rather see him with whoever he wants to play and who he has been practicing with as in his own band.
5. Multiple Phil sit ins doesn't appeal to me that much. It would mean a Dead tune from bands that might otherwise not play one. But I would prefer that Lockn write every contract to include the terms that every band has to play at least one dead song.
6. It does look open. I guess it depends on if WSP is one set or 2 and if it is the Phish sort of 2 sets. I hope that it is either 1 big WSP set and an addition or 2 WSP sets and someone between.
7 Yes please.

He will only be at Lockn on Friday. He has dates elsewhere every other day of the weekend.
Blackberry Smoke/Marcus King are definitely still in play. I guess a Phil and Friends sit-in as well.
But he definitely won't be special guest w/ Avetts (which I didn't expect).
