Trying to decide. Lotus is playing Down by Downtown in Roanoke the same night. I want to support infinity so they keep bringing acts but the same logic applies to the Roanoke thing. Plus there's a nice playground at Lotus and will have my little Ragers, so I'm leaning toward Lotus.

What is Down by Downtown? A venue?
It's a festival celebrating all the local bars in Roanoke. Every bar has live music Friday and Saturday for free, and it culminates with Lotus on Saturday night, though you do have to pay for Lotus.

So, what is the venue for the Lotus show? Just curious. I used to know Roanoke and its venues well, but the longer I am away, the less I know.

Elmwood Park amphitheatre, I don't know when you last saw it but they redesigned it a couple years back and it's pretty cool now.

looks like serious rain. Promoters said they will setup some 10x10 canopies and patrons "can bring umbrellas". Temps in the 50s.

. Yup, weather outlooks have made me settle on Moe. And Kyle Hollingsworth in NC instead of the 2 I had been considering. Both plus Nth power and Jahman Brahman for 12 bucks!! I was sold.

for future reference for people from other areas, the weather in Arrington this weekend is typical when a northeast system or a trop storm tracks through. No "extreme weather" but just three solid days of rain and overcast. Then it flips to NW clear and sunny and cooler.
This could easily happen at a Lockn'--hope not--but this is a good dry run, er, test run, for a system like this.

Still sitting on the fence about Revivalists tonight. Do I want to stand in the rain and mud in 50ish degree temps? for future reference for people from other areas, the weather in Arrington this weekend is typical when a northeast system or a trop storm tracks through. Nice evening at Infinity Downs last night. Somehow not a drop of rain but dang cold. They had fires going in 55 gallon drums.
