I think that I mostly agree that the two combined areas are as large as the show field last year. Honestly there was a lot of wasted space there last year. It is deceiving because the BRB is not level and looks down into the main show field (this could be an advantage actually). With strategic placement of screens and speakers I think it is going to kick ass. Hopefully they place the vendors around the outside. Having seen the venue, what is your view of the Lockn management's contention that this is as large or larger than the previous main show field?

Thanks, saw that a few weeks ago; in fact I think I was there when he was filming. Take that footage, remove 80% of the trees between BRB and main show field as shown in my pictures and that is what it looks like now. tall trees on the edge of a large field don't provide much shade for many people, so much as I like trees, it's not that great a loss overall if they cut some. The topography of the new site may give a little more breeze than the flat death bowl of the race track. The new site is closer to shade to which one can retreat. As long as the size works, I'm positive about what they are doing.
And did someone say you can see both stages at the same time? That would be cool.

You can see them both from the same location, at the rear of the BRB area on top of the hill. I can see posting up there, on the BRB side, for the morning shows and not leaving until after the late night BRB show...well maybe once to pee...And did someone say you can see both stages at the same time?

Well, the biggest news to me from the weekend is that they are going to add at least one act to the Thursday lineup.
That is still my biggest gripe out current Lockn iteration. Thursday starts much too late.

He was maybe 3" long. I just zoomed WAY in on him so that you could see the detail of his colors and textures. I moved him(?) from the camper to the grass so that he would not become detached from the camper at 75 mph.

Did anyone ask Frey about personal shade blimps? There will be shade structures and other types of shade put in place.....maybe high up between the trees....Thanks for the photos. The ones showing the barely shade providing trees gave me heat stroke flashbacks.
