Too funny, I just saw a post from a friend who it doing some kind of Spartan Sprint obstacle race at Infinity Down Farms (that one was NOT on my radar) and I replied that I would be on the Farm in August for a marathon. A lot of tips vary depending if you are tent camping, in an RV, or off-site. Shit changes Every. Single. Year (I'm cool with that), but take all advice with that in the back of your head. just take your normal camping stuff plus money and you will be fine.

Welcome! There are lots of tips for doing Lockn' here. Best advice is probably to hang out and participate. To get back to the warning that I received. You may take it with however many grains of salt that you wish. That the brown acid that is circulating around us isn't too good. It is suggested that you stay away from that. Of course it's your own trip. So be my guest, but please be advised that there is a warning on that one, ok?

One tip that will really help. I am sure others have thought this but were too polite to mention. You do know it is LOCKN' not LOOKN', right? I mean, it's ok, nobody's judging here. Unless of course you were announcing that you look like a Lockn' newbie in which case that was expertly played.

1.Don't worry about setting up your camp/tent. It's far more important to get right to the heavy partying. Plenty of time to get your tent set up later, after the music is done for the day. Related: please arrive not knowing HOW to set up your tent. Just rely on your kind neighbors.

Lockn was my 1st festival/camping experience as well. This'll be my 3rd with other festivals notched in, too. This is a helpful group, even when they are trying to be funny.

If you are traveling with others just make sure that they are in the car when you leave. Might be obvious but I did leave my first born behind at L2 when we left after the Allmans set.
Otherwise don't get caught up with overpacking.
