I second that hikerdave, this forum has been immensely helpful. Also looking forward to hanging with these fine folks! I met a few other Charlotte people going to lockn tonight at the meetup at the movies at concord mills. I'll be easy to find in the car camping lot just look for the big jolly roger flag

Greetings fellow music lovers! This year will be my first time at lockn and I couldn't be more excited. I was directed to these forums by a wonderfully nice lady I met in the Dead&Co lot at Bristow VA a few weeks ago. We talked about going to Christmas jam in Asheville and eventually lockn came up and she told me about these forums. I don't do any social media so it's awesome to have a group like this to be apart of. I've been to muddy roots fest in TN a few times but this will be my first big festival. I got a ga ticket with car camping and will be going solo so it would be cool to hook up with some of you nice heads over the weekend! I'm mostly excited to see String Cheese, the Terrapin set Friday night, finally getting the chance to see Widespread Panic, John freaking Fogerty, and the Phil.Moe. set on Sunday. Also really stoked to see the JRAD night sets! The only question I have is what time were allowed to enter the property and set up camp on Thursday? I live in Charlotte so it's about a 3.5 hour drive for me. BTW most people who know me call me Chewy or Sasquatch because I'm a 6 foot 4 nearly 300lb guy with very long hair and beard haha

Welcome to the board. There are some very kind & helpful folks on here. You're gonna have a blast at the fest, that's for sure. It's a community based crowd, and that makes a huge difference. Just ask for help, and you'll be amazed at just how many folks will pitch right in to assist. Stick around and do post up. The knowledge base of previous Lockn's, & the friendship here, cannot be touched on any other forum. Wish you were in an RV. We are looking for a 6th RV to setup a camp that will win "Best-in-show". MCCJEFF holds that distinction/title for now. This year, he will be facing some FIERCE competition.
