Here's a link to a WaPo article about the world body-painting gig in Austria. This one IS safe for work. Most of them go beyond body painting and have elaborate costumes, a little too far out for me.

The ones I like, which are typically NSFW, are the ones in places like Key West where they paint clothing on naked folks, so realistically you can hardly tell. It's easier on girls.

I recall a SI swimsuit issue where they did that, too. One of the best was the model standing with her thumb under the side strap of the bikini bottom--but there was no bottom; the strap was painted across her thumb.
