LOCKN featured in new documentary

James Earl Jones was only his voice over dad. David Prouse was his body dad.

I had to look it up.

There's actually a documentary on Netflix about David Prowse called (I think) I Am Your Father.

Essentially it's about how, after 3 movies with someone else doing Darth Vader's voice, Prowse was finally going to be revealed in Return Of The Jedi. And then, when Darth Vader's mask is finally removed, they used some other actor's face. And thus fame has eluded him, as evidenced by this thread.

The documentary itself was mildly interesting, at least the half I watched.

The Dave Prowse doc was pretty depressing

It really is sad. I'm a member of the 501st legion (official star wars costuming club) and even if he is a guest at a non official con we are not allowed to associate with him at all. No pics with him in costume or anything like that. It's really just petty BS coming from Lucasfilm. I had the chance to meet him at a horror con a few years ago and of coarse broke all of those stupid rules!
