Didn't think I could make it this year but karma just struck and I'll be there, although solo. I know it's anyone's guess how VIP will work this year, but I do appreciate VIP amenities at festivals. Question is, as a solo, will I feel isolated camping in VIP or do folks think the community for solos is just as strong (or conceivably stronger) in VIP Car Camping?
If it matters to your answer, I'm 56, I like to party within reason, and I am not shy but not especially outgoing. I have made all Lockns except the first, tent camping for each. In 2014 I did Family Camping (with my son at the end of a college visit trip); in 2015 I did VIP with my wife; and in 2016 I did GA with my brother (but came in in Friday evening, so ended up camping where big stage appears to be this year, not in main GA). I've done nine Bonnaroos in a row, all in a tent (some GA, some VIP, some KOA), so I'm very comfortable with the fest life, but I've never done one solo. And as noted I have never done Lockn in true GA.
