RICHMOND, Va. - The Virginia State Crime Commission is asking for comments from the public on whether marijuana possession should be decriminalized.
You can send written comments and any other information or materials relevant to this study to vsccinfo@vscc.virginia.gov or to 1111 E Broad St # B036, Richmond, VA 23219.
Study findings will be presented at the October 5 Crime Commission meeting, which is planned to begin at 10 a.m. in Richmond. This meeting is open to the public. The location is to be determined and will be announced later this fall.

I agree and I have been saying that for a long time (that tax revenue will ultimate be the tipping point). However we are a long, long way from that in VA. Honestly the thing that is most helpful to us in VA is when neighboring states legalize, either for medical or recreational. Maryland is about to come online for medical. Recreational is still a ways away geographically, hoping for New Jersey next year.
I've always thought Tennessee would be the deep south state to legalize first, but I confess I don't really follow things in that state.
