If I arrive with some VIP people, can they drop me and my stuff off on the way. Then I just walk to the campground and set up?
All of the camping passes talk about cars, I won't have one...

You need a camping pass to camp. Buy a tent only camping pass and your plan is fine.

in previous years, if a VIP car had anyone inside who was not VIP the whole car was sent over to the GA unwashed masses entrance. Don't do that to your friends. Get out before the border. unless you want to bear them and their possessions on your shoulders to their designated sacred area.
