Decided to make a new thread to post the video I took, as I anticipate some discussion about the venue. It's in three parts. The case on my camera is amazingly loud every time I move it, sorry about that. I also sound like a goober and said Field of Sorrows instead of Field of Broken Dreams. I promise this one won't give you motion sickness like my last video. There's plenty of information in here that is at least new to me. Hope you guys enjoy

I'm surprised they didn't drive by forest camping. It's near the rev high field and surprisingly flat up there. We ended up walking and finding it. Didn't leave without a sprained ankle though. Watch for holes! Haha

Wow, 11,000 cars on the track, that sure should be sufficient with the reduced attendance they are expecting. Should help w/ logistics too.

He made me kind of feel bad on the parking stuff..."person in car 21 fell asleep, everybody flips out," yeah, um, yeah...

I hope they continue to use the Triangle woods area for Garcia's forest and not put camping in there because space is limited in there and there are limited areas where you actually have a thick wooded area that provides tons of shade like that.

Would love the addition of some larger tree areas around the show fields for shade.

Flufhead I can confirm that there is indeed a wedge-shaped VIP viewing area at the front of the main stage. There is NOT a VIP viewing area in front of the Relix stage, just one for SVIP. And as said there is a viewing platform next to the VIP tent.

Did I mention I'm Greek?

I was a little disappointed to hear that there were no video screens on the BRB side showing the main stage. This likely changes my viewing strategy and means that we will setup on main stage side. Also surprised to hear that only 10% were VIPs. It seems like anytime he mentions anything VIP he almost dismisses it out of hand, like it is an after thought. I've typically had few complaints about the VIP setup and don't expect anything different this year. Except just one thing..HOW ABOUT A FREE TSHIRT FOR MY $700 TICKET LOL...

Thx for clearing that up! It's cool that is Lumni camping but I never buy a Lumni ticket because I wait too late to see what 70% of the lineup's gonna be every year. Also we prefer to do car camping for easy access and storage. That triangle forest area made an awesome music area, it was thick enough to give shade and kinda made it secluded and tucked in.

I didn't really even visit Garcia's forest last Lock'n as we were at the Main stage and BRB til late and were just to worn out by the end of it to go but we're planning on checking it out this year for sure....I hope it's a little bit thick in there.

What do you mean about the early entry folks being parked from the rear of the High Field? Is that a good or bad thing?

This will be my first time out and I'm planning on bringing the RV down Wednesday to avoid the lines. Any info or tips would be very welcome.

All I heard was "don't bring glass."

Also, bring shoes with heavy heels on them, because you can't bring a hatchet, either, and you'll need the shoes for your tent stakes. If they find a hatchet, they will take your beer!
