My experience with Dave this weekend

I'm in the same boat as Fluf. I've been to mountain jam where the VIP section is absurd. But I also think paying 3-4x face should give me some cool perks

Hey momadancer. Sorry I'm late to posting a response to your question. Here's da skinny:

Last year was the first year for "early entry". Unfortunately, Lockn wasn't thinking with their heads...or at least with OUR heads anyway. They filled the GA RV (high field) from the rear to the front. If you look at the map from last year, the furthest away from the main stage in the GA RV high field area, was where they began to park us. It was quite a hump to get to the main stage from where we were. For us old farts, it was a TWO beers, n sumpin else trek, to get to the main stage. We were pooped b4 we sat down to watch/listen to the music. Those that showed up on Thursday were treated with being closest to the then, Blue Ridge Bowl stage. The stages are reversed this year. We were pissed to say the least. We paid for early entry, but got shafted by being the furthest away from ANYTHING. We were "out in the boonies" shall we say.

THIS year is gonna be different tho, as I did hear Dave say that we would be parked from "front to rear". Whether or not that's gonna happen, remains to be seen.
Keep your fingers crossed, and please don't count on it. I remain optimistic, and so should you. PM me your digits, and we can share some good times & laughter while we are there. I like the idea of keeping all the VIPers corralled. That way when it's time to harvest them for the BBQ it won't be a problem rounding them up.
