Thank you TOO, I certainly couldn't/wouldn't be able to steer this ship, but I have to state for the record that sometimes LOCKN subjects bleed into other areas. Not all of these areas are sunshine and flowers. That's just part of living...

We would never consider having any topics off limits in real life, including the meet and greet. Certinly not my place or anyone else's to tell you what is allowed for discussion outside of this board. The only distinction I am trying to make is that we have created a bubble here to keep the unpleasant stuff out. It might seem unrealistic but it has worked for the last five years and feels like it is in jeopardy now. If we don't draw the line somewhere the real world starts to creep in and this board will slowly begin to detoriate. Plenty of other places to discuss that stuff.

Love you Worf! I posted my decision about Lockn in off topic and was told it was objectionable and irrelevant. Which is exactly the kinds of knee jerk reactions that happen in the wake of post hate riots and the reason I cancelled.

Let's not lose sight of what's important. That your rights are being trampled on. That's the big take away from this whole thing. Jeez, and they say I'M the one who makes everything about me.

Absolutely no one on this board is on the other side of this thing, so what's the point in grandstanding? If you want to engage in slacktivism, that's what your personal social media is for. If you don't have one, I envy you sympathize, but that's your choice. Or, ya know, there's any number of things that might ACTUALLY make a difference?

Oh, and if it literally came to your town, I sincerely hope amd pray you went down there and tried to do something, anything, about it. It was a little far for me to travel on short notice. 

But nah, you're right. It's more important to start a fight on a music site.

OK so I started my previous post while waiting for my son a couple hours ago and long before the last few posts. Expressing hatred should never be disguised as an opinion and has no place on this board or any other in my opinion. Thoughts and prayers for those who are lost. Thanks TOO for taking down such a hateful post.

I don't know, you do a great job and I think that we are all thankful for your efforts. This is a wonderful place, one I visit everyday even though I haven't been able to make it since L3. Upsetting to read the post that was deleted, definitely the correct decision. Not sure about the context in which it was said, but inappropriate none the less.
