Any RV'ers out there get that e-mail about the electric hook-up cost of $150? I was planning to use my generator, now they say we can't use it past 10pm? Good thing it will be in the 60s at night. All these last minute changes seem a little lame. Wondering the pros and cons of forking over ANOTHER $150 for electric hook-up or use the generator from cruise america at a cost of 3.50 per hour. I won't be in that RV during the music, so I may have to pass the 30A hook-up....Any Thoughts?

My girl and I got VIP and VIP RV Parking and I didn't get an email about electric hook up upgrade as of today. I'll pass on the upgrade I got a Honda 3000 so I'll be good all weekend long!
FYI: I'm making copies of every confirmation email and copies of my passes just in case the try and pull some funny business.
Anyone else doing VIP RV Parking?

You are receiving this email because you purchased a LOCKN' Festival GA RV pass.

We have had many requests for RV power. Even though the Festival originally messaged that our RV camping is a primitive site, we are trying to satisfy power requests. In order to keep noise low, to improve our carbon footprint, and to satisfy these requests, we are offering external Bio Diesel powered 30 amp circuits for RV's at a cost of $150 if desired. We are not marking up this cost. This is likely less than your on-board gas would cost for the event.

1) If you want to run your on-board RV generator, you may do so from 8 AM to 10 PM, but there is NO additional fueling at the site. (10 PM to 8 AM is quiet time for generators.)

2) If you want to purchase power from the Festival, click here to buy a Power ticket for $150.

Rules:

On board generators are allowed to be operated during 8 AM to 10 PM only and will not be refueled.
We are using biofuel generators to supply power.
Respect your RV neighbors (and all neighbors)
You must monitor your own fuel levels if you are using your on board RV generator
Please bring at least a 50 foot cord for hook up

19hrs free and $1 per hour is a pretty sweet DEAL!!!!!!

I too thought you could run the generator whenevs. That's what it said, "primitive". Good thing it's gonna be beautiful weather in the evening!

Yeah I don't think we'll really need the genny at night either but would be nice to have the option. I've got limited RV experience though so this is all pretty new to me.

I think they originally sent emails to the first of those that filled out the 'survey'. A friend got one and took the power option. I filled out the survey but never got the email. I suspect they sold out with the first mailing or two. The generator rules are only for 'on board' generators and not for separate generators but I don't know how they can enforce this if you are discrete and your generator is not too loud. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it!

Correction....power IS still available to all RVers. So much for stickin' to my story!
