Advantages of Arriving Early on Thursday

When would people suggest campers show up on Thursday? We are traveling in from Milwaukee and will be staying in a hotel about an hour away Wednesday night. 

Personally I always try to get there as early as possible. In the past that was due to the long lines but even now that it seems they've figured out the traffic (knocks on wood) I think its still worth it to get there early. This is just a personal preference but Lockn is vacation in my fantasy land that only comes once a year-why not try to get as much time as possible there? The line to get in is fun in its own way anyway, people are already partying, meeting new friends, just a good collective vibe that you're about to have a great weekend.
