First time...car camping vip....cash bars reasonable? Facilities nice?

In early years the VIP prices were less than the outside, but last I went 2015 they were the same. Also offered the same products. I don't recall liquor being available.
The food was pretty good. The tent a nice place to hang out and get some shade. Made access to the venue convenient. Searches were pleasantly slack.
Camping areas are good. One year not crowded; one year tight but I think this year will not be crowded. Great people camping around you.
Bathroom facilities had issues in the past but I hear that has been corrected and everything very good last year.
Have fun! A number of regulars here are in your area.

Back to GA this year, I would not rule out doing it again

I sound like a broken record, but: reserved view is up front but to the right side (facing stage). Good views but if you are in the back you are pretty far right, but not having to camp a spot ever is fair trade. 'Free' water/Gatorade/soda is a very welcome perk. Late night munchies are quite good, a/c crappers are nice and good location/clean. A/c tent is more a lukewarm teen (in the past) but very nice if you want to be gone from camp and waiting for show. Proximity has been awesome but not as big a deal w/ new layout and not spoken much out loud but an incredible perk is waltzing into show field w/out worrying about being searched (a la' hassle free).
Personally, depending on lineup, I feel VIP is worth the $.

I did VIP L2 and L3 cuz I couldn't walk very well but I didn't want to do ADA, cuz other people needed it more than me. I thought the perks other than proximity were worth about $50, tops.
Now I'm walking like a boss so L4 and L5 GA.

I have done VIP camping all 5 years.
The proximity is always better. The bathrooms / showers are very clean and air conditioned. The entry into the show field has always been hassle free, no bag searching, and you can often bring a mixed drink with you. Also it is nice to know you can leave your campsite and noons is going to go through it or steal your beer
The sight lines are better, there are couches and such to rest on.
Overall, I think it is worth it, but I only do one festival a year now.
We have 7 campsites together this year. The price is getting a little too high but at this point we all do the VIP so we can stay together.

is VIP camping more lax re: how much beer u bring in your vehicle? i mean for what we are paying I would hope so - gonna stash a few bottles of vodka and bring 2 cases of beer - hoping its not an "issue" when we get there - doing early entry tomorrow evening

Same search no matter what your ticket level. As mentioned before if you are discreet and don't have obvious extra amounts of alcohol you will be fine.is VIP camping more lax re: how much beer u bring in your vehicle? i mean for what we are paying I would hope so - gonna stash a few bottles of vodka and bring 2 cases of beer - hoping its not an "issue" when we get there - doing early entry tomorrow evening

VIP has a separate entrance so the searches could be different, but don't count on it.
