Since we are 350 days or so from Lockn # Next I thought I would reactivate the travel portion of the site.
Anyone ever been to Portugal/Euskadi/Spain?
I think this is destination 2018. What you got?

I worked for a company headquartered in Barcelona for 4 years and went there often. I have a document with must sees I created for my co-workers who went for the first time. A lot of what I discovered was from locals taking me out after work. I am happy to post as needed. Since we are 350 days or so from Lockn # Next I thought I would reactivate the travel portion of the site.
Anyone ever been to Portugal/Euskadi/Spain?
I think this is destination 2018. What you got?
I extended my stay there and flew the wife over for a quick trip south of Barcelona that included Morella, Valencia and Zaragoza. Beautiful country, though I never saw the Castilian side. Also went to Girona and Montserrat (a few times) on day trips. Great food/wine, cheap prices, super friendly people. Barcelona is an awesome city, Morella is amazing and Montserrat is stunningly beautiful. Here are some pics of various trips:

Several friends who have been to Portugal and only speak well of it.

Basic plan is to fly into Lisbon and stay there for a few days. Overnight train to San Sebastian and stay in Basque Country for a few. Madrid for a few then down to Seville for a few and explore Grenada, Cordoba, Malaga, Ronda etc. Then to Valencia for a couple days and then to Barcelona for a few days and fly home from there. Probably rent a car for the Basque and Seville portions.

The park in the former river bed in Valencia is not to be missed. Basic plan is to fly into Lisbon and stay there for a few days.
