Did you get into my pics? I had several of that park. It is massive, stretching several miles until it dead ends where they ran out of money. Several buildings were boondoggles during the height of the lending after the Euro was put into place. All of a sudden the Spanish lending rate went from really high to really low and everyone started borrowing money. The performing arts building never opened because the elevators only held a few people. Eventually it all came crashing down with Greece et al. There is a huge park with a giant Oliver's Travel theme where the playground is the giant. You can walk from downtown all the way to the beach, but the park ends about a mile before. I heard a story on NPR just before we left that people were giving austerity tours explaining all the building and how they came to a screeching halt. Beautiful buildings though!
