While I'm not really a fan, there's been a metric shit ton of absolute crap at lockn' that DMB would be preferable to. Talkn' head liners here, so be careful what you unwish for.

I agree they wouldn't be a good fit musically, but market-wise I think it would be fine. DMB is going to sell tickets wherever they go, especially Charlottesville, VA.

He would sell tickets, but he wouldn't play more than one night, so he'd only be selling one-day tickets. With Lockn becoming a somewhat smaller festival, I don't think they're looking for that kind of headliner, so I don't expect acts like Neil Young, Tom Petty (RIP), or even Phish, because the place is just too small for that now. A Dead&Co is probably the biggest attraction they can accommodate.

I think a lot of one-day tickets would be sold, but I also think a lot of his fans would just decide to do the whole fest even though he would only be playing one of the nights. Anyway, enough DMB talk as I agree they're probably not going after someone that big anyway.

I really hope that the current setup can indeed accommodate DeadCo, it would be a shame if they didn't ever get to play the fest.
