What gripes me most about the fees on everything is that they charge per ticket, not per transaction. It's no more trouble to ring up 4 tickets than one, so why 4 times the already ridiculous fees? Same credit card, one charge, but four "convenience fees"?

The worst is Va Beach Amphitheater tacks on $5 per ticket for parking. That's $20 for two couples in one car to park in a gravel lot a long hike from the gate.

It would be better marketing just to raise ticket prices, eliminate fees, and advertise as "we don't charge ticket fees at our festival!". The ticket vendors could just silently take their cut.

dont you just love the ticket sellers who charge you a "convenience fee" for printing your tickets at home?

I think that was part of Ticket Bastards class action dealy. Hidden fees.
