Just got back from an amazing time at Wanee and I am considering going to Lockn' this year. The lineup is insane and I know there are more to come. I read through the website and this stood out to me and wanted to confirm. Is is true you can only bring in one case of beer per person for the whole weekend? In all my years of going to festivals I have never seen this rule implemented.

Beer kegs / Unreasonable amounts of alcohol (One (1) case beer / One (1) bottle (plastic) of liquor for patrons that are 21+ is permitted)

I am not looking to bring a whole liqour store with me but I like to have enough beer for me to enjoy during my time at the festival. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

I went by myself last year and I had way more booze than that! I brought 3 30's of PBR, a 24 pack of mixed good brew, and a bottle of whiskey. I didn't have an issue. But I wouldn't have your car packed with only beer either.

i didn't see anyone having any issues with this silly rule. just in case, id put extra at the bottom of a pile of stuff. just make sure you don't bring glass. they were cracking down on that pretty hard last year. also, welcome to the lock forums! enjoy your stay

Bonnaroo has a similar restriction. I've never really seen it enforced at either festival; although I'm more of a liquor person, so I've never personally tried to bring in multiple cases of beer.

I think the restrictions are in place because they want to keep people from bringing massive quantities of alcohol in, strictly for the purpose of reselling it in the campgrounds.

So, don't hold me to it, but I think you'll be okay as long as you don't go crazy.

Alternative solution: Get a large cooler and take your beers out of the case. I highly doubt they'll count individual beers and tell you there are too many.

I have a large 5-day (ha!) cooler that I can get close to a case of 16oz cans in the bottom & have some more on top with water, cokes, & a small plastic container for cheese, meat & some small things to munch on. I then have 3-4 12 packs of the 16oz cans & never had any problems at any of the festivals I've been to. They just want to keep people from bring in 8-10 cases or more to sell. Stop by my camp & have some free.

Just put as much as you can in a cooler and the rest at the bottom of totes of other gear.
