Woodstock 99'

I was at Woodstock 99. Yes water started out at $8.00. By Saturday afternoon it was $5.00. How big of them. It was security that was selling them out of shoping carts full of ice. I would tell them I'll take a water if I can get a handfull of ice. The heat was worst than any Bonnaroo dust bowls that I've been to. They had no schedules there but by Friday afternoon security was selling copy's of hand written schedules for $5.00. Half way thru the first day security was nonexistent at the gates between the campground & venue. People would stand with signs selling anything you wanted in one hand & had wads of cash in the other. This was in a closed air force base & Sat morning when I went out to my car I walked down a long runway that was carpeted with black ballons. But the main thing everyone was cool as hell. Allways ready to give a hand & share all they had. They had the real spirit of Woodstock. Sunday did get out of hand with no security & everyone tired of it all. A time to remember. At festivals now a days I just want to walk up to security & say thank you!
