Mine are Couch to 5k (yes, I can jog...on a treadmill, anyway) and eating only single helpings of realistic portions. Needed to do it anyway, but I've really let myself go since I quit smoking. At least there's one long-standing resolution taken care of.

I don't make resolutions per se but there are a few things that I will focus on personally. I started the "January Thaw" yesterday which means no alcohol or anything else for the entire month of January. Good way for me to "check myself". Also plan to achieve significant weight loss this year and keep it off.

Mrs. TOO fell in love with this guy but I don't think he's coming back...

I am also participating in Dryuary (sans alcohol). I committed to taking my son on a big hiking trip in April, so I am also getting the miles in and need to do some weight training so my knees don't give out on me. We are going to Big Bend in the middle of nowhere Texas. I actually grew up in Odessa which is 3 hours from there but have never seen it. Only place I could find that has mountains without snow in the first week of April. Extremely isolated area with a completely different flora and fauna than he has ever seen, should be awesome.

I'm also doing Couch to 5K (again) with the lofty goal of getting to a half-marathon at the end of September. Though I think fitting in long runs during festival season may be a challenge. I'm hoping that a combination of exercise and healthier eating will help me to take off at least 40 of the 50 pounds I've gained since worf rat started cooking for me. We'll see...

Y'all did it wrong. I met Mrs. VtE when I was at my heaviest, then I started doing 5ks, half marathons, sports, and whatever not. No matter what, there's not much variation from my size, though. I'm always trying to improve though, 2018 will be no different.

I think a lot of people do it after the excesses of the holidays. I go on the wagon from time to time for a few weeks to re-set my normal. Also easy way to lose weight...but it sucks.
