Welcome to the Lockn' Forum - The home of the original Lockn' Music Festival family!
I did see, sometimes, posted announcements about the Triangle stage in the SVIP tent in late afternoons. I specifically recall one about Phil and the Terrapin Family the night he played. Please note: This forum is in no way officially associated with Lockn' Festival or its promoters.
Triangle stage?

What's the dilly with security there? Same rules as the main stages, or can you bring beer/snacks?
I still may not be able to make it, unless the shuttle carts are still running and either free or very affordable, but I'd like to try.

It really is the perfect idea, but it is also the kind of thing that can only be done at festivals like Lockn'. Having a stage in the camprgrounds, completely unencumbered, felt really organic and pure. It almost felt like another era.
The only problem with the Triangle stage (as I mentioned in another thread) is that it located in the back-half of the camprgounds. At least 75% of the festival population would have to walk past their own campsite to get to the Triangle (assuming they were coming from the main venue). It isn't that big of a deal. A sweet-ass campground stage it awesome no matter where you put it. That being said, if you are coming from ADA or VIP, you've got to walk like 1/4 of a mile up a moderately steep hill to get there. It would be great if that magical trolley from last year suddenly showed-up . . . assuming that doesn't happen, I'm pretty sure Festie Cab is still available throughout the night.
If Bustle is at the Triangle stage (which is just speculation at this point), I will gladly sponsor a cab ride for each of you if it is an obstacle to your attendance at our social gathering.

Last year nothing was really announced in advance. However, there were artists on the official lineup who were not on the schedule, so it was basically sssumed that they would play the triangle. Other shows were acts also playing the main stage (Pegi Young) or a side-project (TXR Family Band).
During the actual festival, they sort of tried to communicate some of these shows to us. A few things were posted on Twitter shortly before they happened, but who is really on Twitter at 1:00 am during a music festival?
I like being surprised, but if they take the caliber of artists up a notch, I don't think it is in their best interest to keep the shows a secret.

I think they did do the announcements on the app but that is weak. They need to do a better job this year.

The combination of announcing the shows and artists in advance, in addition to the higher "caliber" of these artists, will lead to much larger crowds. My theory is that they need conflicts to break up the crowd.
