We are thinking of getting an RV spot but there are 3 of us and it's a small TAB 2 person trailer. On the website VIP RV mentions that you can set up tents/shelters etc. within your space but says that sleeping tents aren't allowed. Is this the same in regular RV camping or can we set up a tent beside the trailer for our friend to sleep in as long as it's within our alloted space?

Last year we had a trailer in GA RV, and we set up a tent for two more GA people next to the trailer. Let me add that we brought the trailer in Weds night, but our tent people arrived Thursday morning. With last years configuration it's a long walk from the parking lot to the High Field GA RV area, especially if you are humping a lot of gear. Same for Forest campers who leave their car in the parking lot.

a small auxiliary sleeping tent should be OK esp. since it's just three of you. The point of the rule is not to pack an RV site with a dozen people using the camper just as a shower etc. My relatives have always set up a second tent at their RV.
And you can always fold it down in the daytime.

We have had tents in GA RV most years. Not a problem. Especially if it's just 3 people.
