No but I am reading an interesting book The History of the World in Six Glasses*, one of which is tea, and how the British East India Company (which was richer and more powerful that England itself) used opium, imported from India, to depress and eventually collapse China's tea trade and eventually the country itself, even starting The Opium Wars. The popularity of tea, meanwhile, in England was a major driver of industrialization, including factory processes. It notes the porcelain (china) industry and the use of the assembly line process, the first celebrity endorsement of a consumer product (china made for the Queen)and the oldest continually owned logo, Twinings.

As Martin Mull so famously said, "Why, that's almost interesting."

*The six history-shaping beverages are beer, wine, liquor, coffee, tea and cola.

And with that I shall absquatulate from this venue to move to one with a kitchen, a sunset and some brown liquor.

Interesting they left out water. Water influences EVERYTHING. Far more important drink, culturally, than any of those. Just sayn'
