Last year security was taking hammers when I went thru. If you are going to need one for your tent stakes, slide it down in the bag your tent is in to keep it in. Depending on the rain, the ground up there can be pretty hard.

I heard they were stripping out the kitchenware from rented RV's (that come equipped) so you'd end up having to pay to replace them!
Supposedly you could retrieve them from lost and found on the last day but no one would want that hassle.
Their "anything that can be a weapon" rule is assinine. As in how about the jawbone of an ass, Cain? Like any smart driver I carry a
toolbox in my car--and I'm not giving it up.

A Swiss army utility with the knife, saw, & all the goodies with the leather holder that hooks to your belt & your shirt hanging over it. I've never been frisked going in to any festival.What's the alternative on a kitchen knife???

By the time we went thru the checkpoint they weren't measuring the lengths of the tines on forks anymore. I think they learned some valuable lessons about how not to keep traffic flowing by being overly anal on the searches. It shouldn't be so stupid this year.
